Los Angeles has historically been a city with some of the most interesting and diverse environmental issues in the US. It has been a city that has displayed environmental leadership and innovation on many fronts, while simultaneously falling behind on others. Today, Los Angeles stands on the front lines of many of the largest and most pressing environmental battles facing most of the worlds cities, and is increasingly being viewed as a proving ground for some of the most ambitious environmental policies, green businesses, and sustainability projects.
In this light, the Eco|Angeleno seeks to identify, track, and speak on the major environmental issues concerning the Los Angeles Region. In addition to posting and commenting on relevant environmental news stories, the Eco|Angeleno will provide event updates, commentary, and critical analysis on environmental and green business issues.
The blog is written by Daniel Freedman, a Green Business Consultant based out of West Los Angeles, but additional writers and contributors will be added in the near future.
