Fisker Automotive is an Irvine based electric car company, which is currently selling their four-door plug-in hybrid sports sedan, the Fisker Karma. So far, they’ve been doing pretty well in their sales efforts. Their first 2009 shipment of vehicles was sold out by pre-order many months ago, their second 2010 shipment, will likely sell-out far in advance as well. Eventually, their goal is to produce around 15,000 vehicles a year. To date things look hopeful for this start-up; the company has brought in around $100 million in funding, has secured a manufacturer for the vehicle, and has begun road testing their prototype. The only hitch being, a law suit which was filed by Tesla Motors, over alleged stealing of trade secrets. At this point, they’ve agreed to enter into arbitration. See HERE for more details on the suit.

What a great name for a green car “the Karma” If toyota thought of this instead of the prius they could have taken over the world. Karma sells. Where do I buy stock?
